The staff at Premier Pain Solutions understands that there is a lot of concern about the new COVID-19 or coronavirus transmission. We are following guidelines from the CDC, Medicare, North Carolina Department of Health and North Carolina Medicaid, and various County Health Departments regarding recommendations for healthcare providers.
The situation is evolving and we are committed to following the updates and making adjustments to our processes as indicated. Please be assured that we are considered a LOW RISK practice for exposure to COVID-19.
That being said, we are limiting admission to our practice to our main entrance to better monitor for patient safety. We are also limiting people who come through our practice to patients (and others needed for patient safety, communication and/or personal assistance). We ask all others wait in their vehicles.
To protect our patients and staff, we are triaging patients before they come to our practice and on the day of the patient’s appointment BEFORE the patient enters the building. If a patient requires assistance in the office, our staff will provide assistance. We are unable to perform appropriate triages on family members and no children will be allowed to accompany any patient. We understand this may be a challenge for us all, but it is extremely important that we engage in social distancing to minimize the potential of contaminating anyone, including our other patients.
We want to assure our patients that we will continue to evaluate and treat your chronic pain conditions during this stressful time. We will make appropriate assessments and then providers will be consulted to make a decision about your treatment plan. Thank you for your patience with these changes. We will continue to update you.
We provide a 360-treatment approach and offer the latest technological advancements in pain medicine. Our warm, friendly staff is highly knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional. This new treatment is the Intracept® Procedure – a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure which targets a nerve located in the bones of the spine (vertebrae). During the procedure, we advance a specialized probe into the vertebrae and uses radiofrequency energy (heat) to disable the nerve, rendering it unable to transmit pain signals. Intracept® takes approximately 60-90 minutes and does not involve an implant or change the structure of the spine.
